Murder suspect Livhuwani Madadzhe withdraws his bail request

Tuesday, when he appeared in Thohoyandou magistrate court for the murder of his wife, Livhuwani Madadzhe withdrew his bail application.

The comedian, aged 38, was detained after his wife filed a domestic abuse complaint against him, according to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). He was nonetheless released on R1000 bail.

Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, a spokeswoman for the NPA, stated that the corpse was later discovered in a grave dug near to a pit latrine.

Malabi-Dzhangi stated, “On Friday of last week, the suspect and the deceased appeared in Thohoyandou magistrate’s court for a domestic violence case.”

“The dead contacted the prosecution, and the case was resolved through a process of mediation. The next day, the deceased’s lifeless body was located.

“It is alleged that the defendant murdered his wife of 32 years, Lindelani Nengovhela, and threw her into a hole next to a pit toilet,”

The hearing has been postponed until February 23 so that police can conduct additional investigations. The defendant was remanded in jail.
