Ayman Al Safadi and Sameh Shoukry, the foreign ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, respectively, were met by Mr. Fuad Hussein, the minister of foreign affairs, in Baghdad on Monday, June 6, 2022.

They talked about measures to improve coordination and consultation within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism, as well as the progress of joint project implementation between the three friendly nations.

They talked about recent regional and global events of shared interest as well as local developments.

They both agreed that regular meetings are essential for addressing issues and advancing trilateral cooperation.

They also talked about the three countries’ shared problems as well as the state of the world and the region.

The ministers talked about how the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has affected the surrounding nations, how it has affected the world as a whole, and how critical it is to find workable solutions to the situation and put an end to the fighting.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, stated that the tripartite framework’s objective is to support Iraq in all fields.

He emphasized his nation’s position on bolstering Iraq’s position and restoring its stature in the region and the world, adding that “we work to form a common vision to confront challenges, pointing out the electrical connection between the three countires.”

Additionally, the Hashemite Kingdom stands by Iraq to face its challenges, explaining that Iraq’s security is one of our security and that we are keen on the security and stability of Iraq as well as enhancing the joint cooperation between our three countries.

Jordan had also agreed with this, according to Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi of Jordan.
