Michael Zegen reports that there were “a lot of tears” when the final episode of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” was filmed.

Earlier this week, he told Page Six exclusively that he cried at the New York premiere of “When You Finish Saving the World.” “It actually caught me off guard. All of these memories begin to play back

“I mean, this was a huge part of my life,” Zegen, 43, remarked about the Amazon drama, whose fifth and final season had just concluded. It was upsetting since I adore the folks involved and we are like a family.

Zegen portrays Midge Maisel’s estranged spouse in the Amazon series.

“We completed our work around four in the morning, so everyone was exhausted. It was a very long week, and we were all present every day, the entire week, to encourage one another. Therefore, it was quite emotional.”

Even though filming has concluded, Zegen, who portrays Joel Maisel, Miriam “Midge” Maisel’s estranged husband, managed to keep a handful of his character’s costumes.

Zegen purchased a portion of his character’s attire from a costume sale.

The star of “Boardwalk Empire” revealed, “They had a costume sale, so we were able to pick and choose.” “I brought home a few of my shoes that I thought were really cool, as well as a number of vintage ties and random items, such as sweaters and jackets that they made for me.”

To commemorate the conclusion of the critically acclaimed show, the New Jersey-born actor took a trip to Europe.

“I never ever spend any money. So I splurged,” he screamed, adding that he flew business class.

Zegen attended the premiere of “When You Finish Saving the World” to support his old friend Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut. Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Finn Wolfhard, and Alisha Boe, the film’s stars, were also there.
