George Roberts, a star of Married at First Sight UK, was detained on suspicion of controlling and abusive behavior, but E4 will apparently continue to air pre-recorded episodes featuring him and his TV wife April Banbury.
Father-of-four Scotland Yard has bailed out Roberts, a 40-year-old financial advisor who denies any wrongdoing and denies any wrongdoing. Last Thursday, he was apprehended in Worcestershire.
After meeting at the altar for the first time on the hit show, Roberts married former Miss Great Britain April in a non-binding ceremony. Their romance has captured the attention of viewers.
His presence on the E4 show occurred despite the fact that three women with whom he had previously been involved had apparently raised concerns about him.
Apparently, more have now come forward.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “On Thursday, September 29, a 40-year-old man was detained in Worcestershire on suspicion of controlling and coercive behavior.” He was arrested and released on bail awaiting further investigation.’

Mr. Roberts, a divorced father of four, married Ms. Banbury on the show prior to their Caribbean vacation.
Despite his incarceration, E4 executives have decided to continue airing the show every weeknight.
Ms. Banbury hinted that the relationship was finished over the weekend by citing ‘traumas’ from the encounter on Instagram.
She wrote, “The traumas brought on by this show have caused me to reevaluate everything.”
Since then, I have been seeing a therapist and I’m not ashamed to disclose it.
Despite his arrest last week, Roberts will continue to appear on the E4 program depicted in the photo.
According to a person close to Ms. Banbury, she is “going through a really terrible period” and “never wants to see him again.”
A second show source stated that they were unaware of any allegations against Mr. Roberts prior to his marriage to Ms. Banbury on the show.
One of his ex-girlfriends, however, asserted otherwise.
I am astounded that he has been given a platform on a television show. I sent an email to Married at First Sight. I stated that I had filed a police report against him,’ she told The Sun.
They requested additional information, which I sent, but I never heard from them again.
