A traveler on a trip from New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is credited with saving the life of a fellow passenger who suffered a medical emergency.

A regular JetBlue trip from LaGuardia Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport took a disturbing turn when a passenger fainted in the aisle as the flight attendants were passing out refreshments.

Approximately an hour into the flight, the woman reportedly fell, and the pilot was preparing to make an emergency landing when a guy moved forward to assist her.

Photos collected by Simon Gifter and shared with Fox News Digital depict a man wearing blue gloves assisting a woman who is laying on the plane’s floor. The woman’s face is covered with an oxygen mask.

As more concerned passengers assemble, the man can be seen providing assistance.

The passenger who shot the photographs reported that the man was a trained Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who stabilized the woman so the airplane could continue to its destination.

The woman was reportedly conscious and able to communicate when the plane arrived. According to reports, an ambulance met the plane upon landing, and emergency personnel boarded the aircraft to remove the woman first.

FlightAware indicates that the jet landed 1 hour and 35 minutes late.

Fox News Digital has reached out to JetBlue for comment on the event, but has not yet received a response.
