The force said a man is believed to have attempted to pull a woman onto the train tracks, before being hit by a train himself. A train is reportedly pictured stopped near King's Cross Underground station following the incident

A man was then struck by the train and transported to the hospital.

At 1.26 p.m. on Monday, British Transport Police officers were called to the Hammersmith and City Line, where they found the woman unharmed but “shaken up.”

They received reports of a “severe event” and issued a witness call.

This morning, a man charged with attempted murder after a stranger attempted to ‘drag a woman into the lines’ at the King’s Cross Underground station was scheduled to appear in court.

Following the event, Arthur Hawrylewicz of Avondale Gardens, Cardiff, sought medical attention.

Today, he was scheduled to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court following his arrest.

The man involved in the alleged incident was struck by a train and transported to the hospital with head injuries. Additionally, he was charged with attempted murder.

‘While enquiries into the incident are at an early stage, it’s not believed the two were known to each other.

The man has been arrested on accusations of attempted murder and transported to the hospital for head injuries.

There were significant delays on the Circle, Metropolitan, and Hammersmith & City lines as a result of the event.

Detectives continue to urge anyone who may have observed the incident to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 and using the reference number 266 of 22 August.

Although the inquiry is at an early stage, it is believed that the duo did not know each other.

While the woman was left uninjured, the man was hospitalized for head injuries and arrested for attempted murder.
