The grieving father of a college student who was shot and killed in her car while she waited at a train crossing says his daughter was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The Louisiana State University senior was on her way home from a night out with friends when she was fatally shot along railroad tracks at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday.

She was discovered in her bullet-riddled automobile in Baton Rouge, fewer than five minutes from where she was killed, after drinking with friends at a bar on Government Street.

Paul stated to Fox News that she did not have any enemies. We do not believe she was stalked or followed.

This Baton Rouge neighborhood has a history of this type of activities.

It should never have occurred, this should not have occurred, and it should not have occurred.

“She is a lovely youngster. She had one year remaining to graduate from LSU and her entire future lay before her.

When you hear a police officer say, “She’s with the coroner now; she didn’t make it,” they are the most heartbreaking words you will ever hear.

Before her terrible death, 21-year-old Allison Rice had been studying marketing at Louisiana State University and was preparing for an internship.

Paul initially realized anything was wrong at 4:45 a.m., when the police came on his door to inform him that his daughter had been shot.

“Our dogs were barking and the doorbell was ringing,” Rice told Fox.

When they said, ‘Are you Allison’s father, may we come in, please?’ he replied, “Yes, I am.”

At that point, you realized it was going to be a catastrophic situation. I never could have predicted the news to be what it was.

Friday at 2:30 a.m., witnesses reported hearing many gunshots, prompting police to hurry to the area.

Authorities recovered shot casings and fast food on her lap, but nothing was taken from her vehicle.

Police arrived at the site around 2.30 a.m., and her automobile was removed the following morning, leaving just a pile of broken glass.

“The only thing I can think of at this moment is that it’s a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Baton Rouge police have not identified a suspect or a motive as of Monday afternoon, leaving detectives “at a loss” to explain the gruesome death of the Geismar student, who was described by acquaintances as “bright and effervescent.”

Despite the fact that this is being treated with utmost seriousness, there are currently no signs of any leads. They do not have an explanation at this time, and they do not have the appropriate surveillance in that particular section of the city.

Paul must now make arrangements for his daughter’s burial.

As a parent, I should never be required to organize my child’s funeral. My mother should not be required to attend the funeral of her grandchild,’ he stated. This is absolutely heartbreaking.

On August 19, another student was shot during a failed robbery attempt, and just days later, there were two separate kidnappings on campus.

Baton Rouge has one of the highest homicide rates in Louisiana, according to the FBI.
