Liz Truss, who just became prime minister, says she’s worried about the Queen’s health


Liz Truss, the new prime minister of the United Kingdom, said her thoughts are with the Queen.

As of Thursday afternoon, Queen Elizabeth II is under “medical supervision” at her residence in Scotland.
Members of the Royal Family will visit the Queen, whose physicians are concerned about her health.

Liz Truss, the next prime minister of the United Kingdom, stated on Thursday that she is thinking of Queen Elizabeth II, who is under medical supervision in Scotland.

In a tweet published shortly before 12:30 p.m. At lunchtime local time, Truss stated, “the entire nation will be deeply troubled by the news from Buckingham Palace.”

Truss wrote, “My thoughts, along with those of the entire United Kingdom, are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

Thursday morning, Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen’s doctors are “concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have suggested that she remain under medical monitoring.”

Members of the Royal Family have traveled to Scotland to be with the Queen at her Balmoral estate.

Truss, formerly the UK’s foreign secretary, won the 2022 Conservative Party leadership election following the resignation of Boris Johnson. Truss met with the Queen on Tuesday at Balmoral, where she was asked to form a government.
