Kelly Ripa excoriates Mark Consuelos for insensitive birthing remarks

Kelly Ripa criticized her husband, Mark Consuelos, for his lack of sensitivity after childbirth.

The “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host, 52, criticized the “All My Children” actress, 51, after @notskinnybutnotfat re-posted a viral graphic asking, “What is one thing that your partner did, said, or brought to the hospital that really helped you through your birth experience?”

In the comments section, Ripa recalled the time Consuelos allegedly said, “Do you mind if I eat?”

She further said her husband remarked, “Since you’ll be here for a while, I’m going to the batting cages.”

Consuelos did not indicate which of their three children Ripa was in labor with; Michael, 25, Lola, 21, or Joaquin, 19 years old. The actor has not responded yet.

The host of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” reported that Consuelos wanted to go to the “batting cages” to pass time during the incident.

The article rapidly attracted tens of thousands of responses from other mothers who shared both heartfelt and humorous anecdotes.

“Right before I started pushing: ‘It’s okay if you poop, I pooped my pants when I was 23.’”

The happy couple has three children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.

While a third mother was receiving an epidural, her spouse hugged her and exclaimed, “OMG, my back hurts from bending over like that!”

Fortunately for Consuelos, Ripa was able to get over his less-than-comforting birthing remarks, and they have been enjoying a hot relationship since their May 1996 wedding.

The “Hope & Faith” actress stated in a September 2022 interview that she never “gets tired” of having sex with her gorgeous husband because “the woman comes first” and he “pleases [her] over and over again.”
