Kaizer Chiefs latest: Kearyn Baccus attracts PSL interest BUT…

This is according to Baccus’ agent Mike Makaab who said earlier this week that he will meet with the Chiefs management to discuss the midfielder’s future.

Makaab said the purpose of the meeting is to find out whether or not Chiefs still need the services of Baccus beyond the current season.

And this is because Chiefs find themselves without a permanent head coach following the departure of Stuart Baxter who was sacked over a week ago.

Makaab, though, said they will not put pressure on Chiefs given the situation they find themselves in, more so, because in an ideal world, the club would want to have a new technical team first before deciding on the squad.

KAIZER CHIEFS STAR KEARYN BACCUS ATTRACTS PSL INTEREST

“Again, which serves a way to see what the intentions are of Kaizer Chiefs, and we have had interest in Kearyn from a number of clubs in the country,” said Makaab on Gagasi FM.

“But again, I’m going to say to you that we are, first and foremost, going to look at whether Chiefs are keen on his services or not.

“It would be unfair on us to pressure on them now given that a new coaching team is taking over, and let’s see what the plans are for the new season in terms of the coaching staff.”

“I don’t have to tell you that when you are in limbo in terms of coaching personnel, it’s very difficult for you as a football club to sign players and then bring in a new coach,” he said.

“In an ideal situation, you want to bring in a new coach and then decide on your squad, and that’s what the difficult is when you are unsettled with your coaching staff,” added Makaab.
