Justin Bieber cancelled his tour due to “exhaustion.”

After receiving a diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological condition that left him with facial paralysis, the pop star, 28, postponed a string of performances earlier this year.

Bieber has since announced on social media that he is stepping back from touring to concentrate on his health.

The musician, who over the weekend gave a performance in Brazil, said on his Instagram Story: “Earlier this year, I went public about my struggle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which left my face mostly paralysed.

“Due to this sickness, I was unable to finish the Justice Tour’s North American leg.

“I travelled to Europe in an attempt to finish the tour after taking some time to recover and talking to my physicians, family, and crew. I put on six live performances, but it was quite taxing on me.

“I played at Rock in Rio this past weekend, giving the Brazilian people my all. I was so worn out as I left the stage that I immediately realised I had to put my health first.

“As a result, I’m going to stop touring for the time being. I’ll be OK, but I need some downtime to recover. (sic)”

Also thanking his followers for their recent encouragement, Bieber.

He declared: “I’ve been very happy to share this programme with the globe and spread our message of justice. We appreciate your prayers and support over this whole process. I adore every one of you fervently!”

He spoke up about his experience with Ramsay Hunt syndrome earlier this year.

The pop artist demonstrated how the illness has paralysed half of his face in a video message.

You can tell that this eye isn’t blinking, he remarked. On this side of my face, I am unable to grin. This nostril is immobile.
