On Wednesday, John Schneider, best known for his role in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” shared on Facebook the sad news of his wife Alicia Allain’s passing. He included a picture of Allain giving a thumbs up and another one of his hand holding hers.
Schneider wrote, “My beautiful Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus. Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. … Hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”
The next day, Schneider posted another picture of him and Allain, expressing his deep sorrow and grief. He described Allain as the inspiration behind his creative thoughts, the very fabric of his soul, and the glue that held him together.
Allain had disclosed on “Fox and Friends” in 2020 that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 HER2-negative cancer over Memorial Day Weekend in 2019. She discovered she had cancer after noticing an issue with her skin and visiting a dermatologist.
Schneider and Allain began dating in 2015, and they unofficially wed in 2019, during the time of Schneider’s divorce from Elvira “Elly” Schneider. Their marriage became legal once his divorce was finalized.
Allain, who also served as Schneider’s manager, is survived by a daughter, Jessica, a stepdaughter, Karis, and a granddaughter.
