On a June episode of his podcast Rogan said Florida governor Ron Desantis would make a 'good president' while speculating on potential 2024 candidates

During an episode of his podcast last week, Joe Rogan suggested that people who lost their businesses during COVID-19 shutdowns should ‘vote Republican.’ He made the comments while presenting fresh figures showing that over a million people defected to the Republican party between 2021 and 2022.
Aaron Rogers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and an outspoken critic of COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccines, was Rogan’s guest on this episode.
The two also made fun of President Biden and his history of embarrassing gaffes.

Joe Rogan quipped that anyone who lost their companies because to COVID-19 shutdowns should ‘vote Republican’ while complimenting Ron Desantis’ choice to keep Florida open during the pandemic and making fun of Vice President Joe Biden.

Rogan made the remark during a Saturday broadcast of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience in conversation with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers, a vocal critic of COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccines.

The two were discussing how massive business closures resulting from draconian pandemic shutdown measures prompted hordes of Americans to begin voting Republican.

‘I hope that, now that all is over, people will see that grave mistakes were made and refrain from repeating them. That’s the most you can get out of it,’ Rogan said. ‘As far as recompense for those who were forced to sell their businesses and keep their doors closed and lost everything they spent decades building, well, they’ll just be upset.’ During an episode of his podcast this week, Joe Rogan suggested that people who lost their businesses because to COVID-19 shutdowns should ‘vote Republican.’

What do you say to those individuals? Rodgers asked.

Rogan responded, “Vote Republican; that’s what most of them are going to do anyway.”

Between 2021 and 2022, more than one million people in 43 states shifted to the Republican party, according to a June Associate Press article.

During the show, Rogan and Rodgers also made fun of President Biden, claiming that he was the’most popular president in history.’

Rogan responded, “Yeah, he’s the best; there’s no one better.” He excels at speaking. He excels at climbing stairs.

“Good handshaker,” said Rodgers.

Rogan stated, “He is adept at riding bicycles and shakes hands with ghosts.”

Rogan attacked California’s lockdown procedures, describing them as empty gestures designed to make the public believe that government were doing something.

Remember when they decided to discontinue outdoor dining? Rogan stated. “And it turns out that one of the individuals who made that choice, on the day she made it, was dining alfresco?”

This was a decision that this politician – this bureaucrat – made in order to demonstrate that they were doing something.

He then praised Desantis’ lenient lockdown policies, which prioritized the safety of the vulnerable while allowing others to do as they pleased.

Rogan stated, “You look at folks like Ron Desantis, who kept Florida open and had quite decent rules around what to do about COVID.”

He received widespread criticism for this. Whereas he was stating that we need to safeguard our elderly and ensure that medical care is there for them and everyone else, you should be able to do anything you want and protect your freedom.’

In a June episode of his podcast, Rogan speculated that Florida governor Ron Desantis might make a ‘decent president’ if he ran in 2024.

Though Rogan has long maintained that he is a leftist, in a June episode of his podcast he speculated that Gov. Ron DeSantis would make a “decent president” in 2024.

Rogan stated, “I believe Ron DeSantis would make a fantastic president. I mean, what he’s done for Florida is admirable.”

On a previous broadcast, though, Rogan insisted he was a lefty.

“I am so liberal that I constantly discuss it. I am neither a conservative nor a conservative. Rogan stated.

He made these remarks while describing how Fox News was the only source to defend him throughout the uproar over his views on COVID-19 and the COVID conspiracy theorists that appeared on his program.

Despite routinely criticizing Democrats and supporting Republicans on his show, Joe Rogan has maintained for years that he is a leftist.

Aaron Rodgers has been a vocal opponent of COVID-19 containment methods and vaccinations.
