Something is being loaded.

Jamie Campbell Bower stated that he botched his “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” audition by delivering a filthy joke about a fairy.

On September 2, the “Stranger Things” star spoke on Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast and discussed his previous acting roles as well as the hit Netflix series.

He also shared a story about failing an audition for “Harry Potter” as a teenager.

Bower reported being asked to prepare a joke for a meeting with Chris Columbus before to the production of the first installment in the franchise.

“I had just heard a fairy-related joke, such as the reason why the fairy sits atop the Christmas tree. And it’s a particularly filthy joke since it involves a Christmas tree up someone’s behind “Bower remarked. “And after I told this joke during the audition, there was a similar sort of air of silence. And I thought, “Well, screw that.””

Bower informed Horowitz that he had been considered for the title role of Harry Potter, which was ultimately awarded to Daniel Radcliffe. He eventually joined the franchise to portray a youthful Grindelwald in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.”

According to Bower, his London agency Simon Beresford (who also represents Ralph Fiennes, who plays Voldemort) recommended him for the role when the film began casting.

“Simon remarked, ‘Well, Jamie is now, you know, working properly and no longer making inappropriate jokes,’” Bower made a joke on a podcast.
