Irene Bedard, the actor who voiced Pocahontas in the animated film, arrested for disorderly conduct

The police have detained Irene Bedard, the actress who voiced Pocahontas in the animated picture, for disorderly behaviour.

Friday, August 19, TMZ said that the actress was detained in Greene County, Ohio.

Police officers were doing a welfare check after getting a complaint that a woman had passed out in the bushes on a residential street, according to a police report.

When police arrived, they reportedly discovered Irene in a neighbouring parking lot, where she exhibited a roller coaster of emotions; one minute she was calmly speaking with officers, and the next she was sad and weeping.

According to police, Irene was with another woman named Sheila, who gave police the name of someone they might contact on Irene’s behalf, prompting Irene to shout that she did not want that person involved. Officers said that Irene then fled from them and almost knocked down a sidewalk table.

It was determined that Irene stopped fleeing and walked peacefully with officers for a minute before becoming enraged about a prior incident with police officers.
