If re-elected, Trump vows to give all Capitol rioters full pardons and an apology.

If he wins the president again, Donald Trump stated he will pardon his supporters who stormed the Capitol last year. He also claimed to have visited with several of the defendants.

Trump has not officially said if he would run for president in 2024, but he has made multiple hints about the possibility and assured fans at a number of rallies that they would be pleased with his choice.

The former president said Thursday morning on a conservative radio show, “I mean complete pardons with an apology to many.”

He would have to retake the Oval Office before issuing a public apology and issuing pardons.

Trump says that he has met this week with some of the defendants in the case against those who rioted at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

He even revealed to Bell in the Thursday morning interview that he is helping some of the defendants in terms of financially dealing with the fallout.

‘I am financially supporting people that are incredible and they were in my office actually two days ago, so they’re very much in my mind,’ Trump said.

‘It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them. What they’ve done to these people is disgraceful.’

Guy Reffitt, 49, was found guilty on five charges in March and given a sentence of 7 years and 3 months in federal prison. One of those offenses was taking a firearm into the grounds of the Capitol.

Many Trump supporters who were recognized as taking part in the disturbance that day have been found guilty and given prison terms, some of which may last for many years.

The Capitol attack last year left four people dead and more than 140 law enforcement officers were injured.

A Capitol Police officer named Brian Sicknick had a stroke the next day after being sprayed with a potent chemical irritant during the assault, becoming the fifth victim of the disturbance.

Rioters were equipped with flagpoles, baseball bats, shock guns, and bear and pepper spray.

Guy Reffitt, a 49-year-old Texas resident and member of the far-right Three Percenters militia, was one of the rioters who received jail sentences. He was sentenced to seven years and three months after becoming the first Capitol rioter to go on trial.

The longest sentence ever handed to an insurrectionist was given to Reffitt.

A grand jury found him guilty of five felonies, including using a firearm on Capitol grounds and disrupting government business.
