Arguably one of the most glamorous and well-followed clubs on the African continent, Kaizer Chiefs know a thing or two about winning silverware.
But how many trophies have they actually won in their 52-year history?
Kaizer Chiefs trophy cabinet
- 13 x South African domestic league titles (Four in the PSL era)
- 13 x Telkom Knockout
- 13 x Nedbank Cup
- 15 x MTN8
- 5 x Vodacom Challenge
- 1 x CAF Confederation Cup
*Note: Several competition names have been changed by the PSL over the years, for simplicity, we have entered the cup competitions under their most current names. Eg. The Nedbank Cup rather than the National Cup.
All in all, the club claims to have collected 93 honours on its official site, although only 60 of those are regarded as official major trophies and listed above. Still, and unsurprisingly, that makes Chiefs the most decorated club in South African football history.
Amakhosi haven’t lifted a league title since 2015 though, and supporters are growing more impatient by the day. Still, an average of more than a trophy every single year of its existence makes Chiefs a huge club. That’s beyond doubt.
Will Amakhosi collect some silverware in 2022-23? Their next shot at a major cup sees them take on AmaZulu in the first-leg of an MTN8 semifinal on October 2nd.
