Hanifa Murder: VP Osinbajo visits Parents in Kano

Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof.

Yemi Osinbajo visited the parents of Hanifa Abubakar, the five-year old girl who was abducted and killed last month in Kano.

The alleged killer of Hanifa, Abdulmalik Tanko, had abducted her and demanded for a N6 million ransom.

Tanko was the proprietor of Hanifa’s school in Kwanar Dakata Nasarawa LGA, Kano State.

The decomposing body of Hanifa was later discovered by the police in a shallow grave, where the suspect had buried it.

Vice President Osinbajo’s visit to the family in Kano was an emotional moment for the parents.

Hanifa’s father, Abubakar Abdulsalam said he was “rather speechless” and did not have “words to express my gratitude over the visit of the vice president to my family to console me.

He said “the vice president is our father; I’m grateful; I’m sincerely honoured.

The only thing I can say is to pray for him.

To pray for the entire nation that peace will reign.

Vice President Osinbajo also attended the 53rd Annual Conference of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers at the Bayero University, Kano.
