Is this where ice-calades are cleaned?
A Texas car wash formed an ice cave as a result of the historic bomb cyclone that swept the United States. Images of the cleaning station covered with icicles are currently trending on Instagram.
“Went hunting for icicles all morning and @heb had the nicest ones!!” Matt Guthrie captioned the video of the vehicle ice-capade, which was recorded in Lakeway, Austin on December 24, when the temperature dipped to a bone-chilling 10 to 12 degrees, according to Jam Press.
The creepy footage depicts the entrance to the HEB car wash, which is completely covered in crystalline stalagmites, similar to the Wampa’s ice cave in “Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.” Or possibly a car wash where Elsa from “Frozen” got overcharged for protective wax.
The frightening image appeared near Lakeway, Austin, on December 24 when the temperature dropped to between 10 and 12 degrees.
Meanwhile, it appears that a portion of the sign has fallen and fractured on the icy ground.
The frozen Subaru shower station attracted astonished responses from Instagram users, with one commenting, “Oh wow – RIP car wash!”
“Oof. “It must be difficult to leave the water trickling in these locations,” commented another.
The ice festival coincides with a nationwide bomb cyclone that brought subzero temperatures, blinding blizzards, and high winds over the Christmas holiday weekend.
At least 33 people perished in Western New York during a winter storm described by New York Governor Kathy Hochul as “the snowstorm of the century.”
As of 7 a.m. Sunday, the extraordinary blizzard had buried the region in 43 inches of snow and partially frozen over Niagara Falls.
