Frans Karoo released “Die Breils” after two years of silence

Frans Karoo, an Afrikaans artist, debuted with his second solo single, “Die Breils,” after two years of total stillness.

Karoo, formerly the lead singer of the blues rock groups Jet Black Camaro and Gunshot Blue, is currently working on his solo first album, which is scheduled for release in early 2023.

“Most of the music from the debut Frans Karoo album are essentially leftovers from my days in Jet Black Camaro,” Karoo said in a statement to IOL Entertainment. They are tunes that CJ Bierman and I (Jet Black’s rhythm guitarist) wrote while braaing around the fire.

We made the decision to have Jo Ellis record these songs in Ladismith, Western Cape, a few years ago.

“I decided to release the new songs when Pepi Dimevski, my guitarist from Gunshot Blue, relocated to Paris, France, with his wife.

Karoo’s song “O God” was released in June. The contentious song queries God’s whereabouts and responsiveness to the cries of the underprivileged.

Karoo has returned with a brand-new song and claims that his music explores bizarre plotlines.

In three words, Karoo sums up “Die Breils” as “hypnotic, trippy, and fleeting.”

Karoo from Randburg claims that although some may find the music videos’ imagery odd, he gets his inspiration from “reality that’s wilder than fiction.”

A male pastor from a tiny town in the platteland is the subject of the song’s plot, who abandons his wife and five children in favor of his male lover.

Folks should anticipate astonishing stories about common people, according to Karoo, who performs under the Gallo Record Company banner and has 12 years of musical expertise.

Karoo also dabbles with graphic design and photography.

His songs may be found across all digital outlets.
