On Tuesday, a 15-year-old girl died and three other adolescents were hospitalized after suffering overdoses at a Hollywood high school.

Each of the teenagers discovered at or near Helen Bernstein High School in Los Angeles, California, is suspected to have obtained Percocet laced with fentanyl from Lexington Park.

The police arrived to Bernstein High at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, hours after the school had closed, to investigate a possible overdose.

The stepfather of one of the girls who overdosed made the call after discovering the child suffering from what seemed to be an overdose in the school courtyard; he had gone searching for her after she failed to return home from school around 2:00 p.m. earlier that day.

The 15-year-old girl reported to her parents that her buddy had also overdosed and was hiding in a school bathroom.

At Helen Bernstein High School in Los Angeles, California, two pupils overdosed on what were suspected to be Percocet pills laced with fentanyl.

One of the 15-year-old girls was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other’s condition is stable. Two additional youths were discovered overdosing in neighboring Lexington Park, where it is suspected the drugs were distributed.

NBC reports that the father alerted a school employee, who provided CPR to the second girl he found in the women’s lavatory.

According to reports, paramedics attempted to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at the spot.

The second girl’s status is stable.

Officers quickly made their way to Lexington Park, less than a mile from the school, where they discovered two additional minors, one of whom was male, overdosing.

According to reports, both are still alive and at least one is in stable condition.

It is unknown whether the two groups of teenagers knew each other, as the pair discovered in the park does not attend Bernstein High.

Helen Bernstein High School was the initial filming location for Glee’s William McKinley High School.

In 2021, Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid up to 50 times more strong than heroin, was the top cause of drug-related deaths.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspected drug dealer frequents Lexington Park, and it is the obligation of parents to communicate the hazards of drug use with their children.

Lt. John Radtke of the Los Angeles Police Department stated, “The most important thing is to make sure that everyone is aware that they are selling poison in this park, and to keep your children away from it.”

The school, which served as the original filming location for the hit Fox television series ‘Glee,’ remained open on Wednesday, with on-site grief counselors accessible to staff and students.

As we collaborate with LAPD, the Los Angeles Unified School District issued the following statement: The family and friends of both kids are in our thoughts and prayers while we investigate this awful incident.’

The district stated it will provide additional information as they become available.

The deceased victim’s identify was released pending notification of her family, as were the identities of the other three minors.
