Fighting Intensifies On Streets Of Ukraine As Russia’s Invasion Enters Day Four

Fighting has reached the streets of Ukrainian capital as Russia presses ahead with its invasion.

President Volodymyr Zelenkskyy has pledged to defend the country, saying that he will not surrender.

Russia’s military claimed that it has taken control of the southeastern city of Melitopol.

Nearly two hundred people have been killed so far, including civilians, three of whom were children.

United Nations says more than one hundred thousand Ukrainians have fled the country since the beginning of the assault.

Western countries have announced sweeping sanctions on Moscow, including measures targeting President Vladimir Putin himself.

Displacement in Ukraine is also growing but the military situation makes it difficult to estimate numbers and provide aid.
