Mr Brand faces some opposition to his plans from locals who argue the area has become too busy with his various enterprises around the pub

47-year-old Russell Brand desires to establish a recording studio for his YouTube channel.

This month, the comedian will begin a new show for his 5.9 million followers.

He intends to construct it in the Oxfordshire pub The Crown, which he purchased in 2020.
Some neighbours oppose the idea, arguing that the bar is already too crowded.

Russell Brand’s plans to construct a recording studio in his 15th-century bar have drawn criticism.

The comedian has submitted an application to transform a portion of The Crown pub into a studio where he would record videos for his six million YouTube subscribers and channel.

Mr. Brand angered locals when he purchased the only pub in the village of Pishill, Henley-on-Thames, for £850,000 with the intention of converting it into a vegan restaurant.

His company, Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm Ltd., has submitted an application to South Oxfordshire District Council to make additional modifications to the Grade II-listed The Crown.

Planning records demonstrate Mr. Brand, aged 47, is eager to complete the project as soon as possible before to the premiere of his new show on September 25.

Russell Brand, 47, intends to construct a recording studio for his YouTube channel in his Oxfordshire pub.

In 2020, Mr. Brand paid £850,000 purchased The Crown pub in the little community of Pishill, Henley-on-Thames. He intends to convert it into a vegan eatery.

The popular wedding venue is currently closed and being used as housing for Brand’s independent contractors.

The Crown features outdoor seats, a parking lot, a detached barn, a cottage with two bedrooms, and a garage.

The application is supported by planning records that claim, “The entire property has recently undergone a change of ownership, and the pub is temporarily closed while plans to renovate the structure and determine the nature of the new institution are formulated.

In due time, the objective is to reopen the public house. In the meanwhile, it is occupied in part by freelance employees working for the applicant.

The production personnel will be able to shift to the new studio upon its delivery, and plans for the reopening of the bar will be able to move forward.

One neighbor, though, has already voiced opposition, citing a stand-up performance by Mr. Brand in The Barn, which is part of the bar.

She wrote: ‘Russell Brand’s stand-up performance provided a glimpse of life under the new proprietors; there were cars left everywhere, double and triple parked, and at least eight on the proposed construction plot.

Locals oppose Mr. Brand’s proposals, arguing that the area has become too crowded due to the proliferation of his businesses around the pub.

“It is therefore our considered opinion that The Crown cannot currently sustain the business model adopted by the owners due to an insufficient number of parking spaces when all areas, including the offices, studios, and performance venue (The Barn), are operational, and that as Russell and Laura Brand continue to become more successful, as I hope and am certain they will, the parking and road safety issues will only worsen.”

“I hope this email conveys my displeasure with our new neighbors’ determination to proceed with their plans regardless of the impact on our shared local environment or on me and my family,” the email reads.

I genuinely hope that you can persuade them to refrain from taking further action until suitable surveys and investigations have been conducted and reported.

Additionally, the Environmental Protection team and the Pishill with Stonor Parish Council have expressed concerns regarding the impact of noise.

Environmental Protection recommended a ‘noise Control-Sound insulation scheme-Noise’ from within the building on August 16, in an effort to ‘control noise’ from both inside and outside the structure.

The team wrote, “No development shall occur unless a plan for the management of noise from the building has been submitted to and approved by the Local Planning Authority in writing.”

Before further uses are explored, the parish council would like to see some progress made on the reopening of the bar.

Mr. Brand and his Henley-residing wife Laura purchased The Crown in March 2020.

He stated that the pub will reopen and be renovated after his recording studio has been constructed.

The anticipated judgment date is September 27.
