After spending 48 hours at Twitter’s offices in San Francisco, the host of “The Rubin Report” described the situation inside the digital behemoth as a “flaming dumpster rolling down the street.”

Monday, Dave Rubin appeared on “Fox & Friends” to discuss his recent visit to Elon Musk’s office, where the “Chief Twit” and engineers demonstrated how the platform has shadowbanned certain people and information.

Rubin claimed to be researching “behind the scenes” with Twitter support why his audience engagement “seems to have vanished completely” The next Tuesday, he received a phone call seeking his physical appearance.

Rubin stated, “I hopped on a plane, sat in the middle seat of the last row, did not recline, and arrived in San Francisco shortly after midnight to find Elon meeting with a large group of people.” There were numerous engineers still awake after midnight.

Rubin spoke briefly with Musk on the first night about censorship issues around the political commentator’s Twitter account.

“He stated, ‘Look, it’s been a very long day for me. If you require my immediate presence, I will remain. We can complete this tonight. Otherwise, let’s do it tomorrow,’” recalls Rubin. “And I thought that in and of itself, i.e., here’s the world’s wealthiest man who’s working hard and willing to stay,” she said.

Rubin claimed he learnt that Twitter was purportedly designed to “suppress certain voices and elevate others” when he decided to meet again and regroup the following day.

According to his description, it is a fractal Rube Goldberg machine. Rubin stated, “If you recall the opening scene from Pee-Big wee’s Adventure, these crazy machines where, in essence, the more they fix things, the more they break.” “He also compared it to a giant game of Jenga, where you pull out one piece and hope it doesn’t all collapse.”

The host verified that Musk has brought in creative minds and engineers from Tesla and SpaceX to attempt to resolve what appears to be a “massive undertaking.”

Rubin stated, “He is aware of the gravity of the situation because, whether we like it or not, our ability to communicate in the world of 2023 would be severely hindered without Twitter.”

Additionally, Rubin cautioned that the relatively new CEO is still scrutinizing current staff “who are possibly committing wrongdoing.”

“The way code works, as he described it to me, I realize that not all of your viewers are coders, and neither am I, but you’re essentially looking at a tiramisu layer cake. “As you fix one layer, you realize how many other problems lie beneath it, and you may have made a mistake,” Rubin explained.

He continued, “There is a coordinated effort on the part of the government and Big Tech, and then there is an uncoordinated layer of activists working at these companies.” This explains why the situation is so chaotic.

Musk has also recently spoken with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to guarantee that the social media platform is “fair” to both parties.

After the Twitter Files revealed that the FBI routinely notified the social media platform of accounts that “may” violate the company’s terms of service, Twitter’s CEO has called for political parties to be treated equally on the site.
