Eddie Jones’s return as head coach of the Australia Men’s Rugby Union signifies the beginning of a new era for the Wallabies.
It is evident that Rugby Australia’s senior brass are banking on Jones to orchestrate a top-down reorganization of the sport.
Despite the fact that Australia is usually always competitive in matches against their greatest rivals, South Africa and New Zealand, they are now well outside the top four nations in the globe.
Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan and Eddie Jones had phone conversations over the weekend, according to a report published on Sunday.
The Wallabies are accustomed to adversity, some of which is a result of the competitive character of the Australian local sports scene and others of which is a result of weak leadership and terrible policies, but recent seasons have seen them reach new and intolerable lows.
