Kaitlan Collins, 30, reportedly left the set in tears on December 8 after the 56-year-old raged at her in front of the television crew and their other co-host Poppy Harlow, according to sources quoted by The New York Post.

CNN CEO Chris Licht, who promised to revamp CNN after acquiring the news organization last year and then announced dramatic layoffs, was reportedly surprised by the news and instructed Lemon to take the next day off to ‘cool off’

CNN This Morning is a ratings disaster, and early last month marked its least-viewed week since its debut, with an average of just 330,000 people.

On December 8, Don Lemon allegedly yelled at Kaitlan Collins off-air for interrupting him, according to sources.

Collins, 30, reportedly fled the scene in tears following the altercation. Several production personnel witnessed the occurrence.

The three co-hosts were scheduled to appear together for the White House Christmas celebration the day after the off-air incident, but they arrived separately and canceled their pre-party activities.

A source alleged that after the party, Lemon met with the agency who represents him and Collins, while his other two co-hosts drank together.

Collins and Lemon have been co-stars on the show since its inception three months ago. The trio, together with Harlow, used to arrive together on red carpets and at events. Now, though, they arrive separately and appear determined to avoid each other.

A source informed The Post that Kaitlan wants to be on set with Don as little as possible.

It is a mess.

Collins, who is also the White House correspondent for CNN, has recently spent considerable time in Washington, D.C.

Collins and Lemon have co-starred on the show since its inception three months ago.

Poppy Harlow (center) also stars on the CNN morning show alongside the other two.

Uncertain if Collins purposely stopped Lemon, one source described him as “bossy” and “difficult to work with.”

According to the source, he was instructed to speak less throughout the event and to share the stage with Harlow and Collins.

Lemon formerly had his own show. Don Lemon Tonight, prior to Licht’s cancellation and creation of the new morning program.

The source stated, “He was a solo act in the past,” while another noted that the CNN anchor is unhappy about having co-hosts.

A source close to Lemon told the news site, “From what I understand, he wants the show to be about him.” I have no idea how to solve that. It is a pretty challenging circumstance.

Before allegedly shouting at Collins, Lemon stirred further outrage by’mansplaining’ to his female co-hosts why men’s sports generate more revenue.

Harlow and Collins were unable to speak on December 1 after it was announced that the US Women’s National Soccer Team will earn more from the men’s world cup than from their 2019 World Cup victory.

Lemon, who has been responsible for a slew of contentious on-air comments, sought to explain to his coworkers that the US women’s soccer team has historically paid less than its male counterparts due to a lack of interest in the sport.

He stated, “You cannot make people interested in something they are not interested in.”

Don Lemon, co-host of CNN’s This Morning, defends his position that no one wants to watch women’s soccer.

Harlow and Collins suggested that the corporations that control advertising revenues undervalue women’s sports because potential fans are not exposed to them frequently enough to increase their marketing value.

Collins noted that in several instances, notably on the international soccer scene, the US women’s soccer team had a more impressive record than the men.

Lemon asserted that women are normally worse in athletic competition and that the women’s team would lose if they were to compete against the men’s team.

He concluded the awkward portion by stating, “I’m just being truthful.”

After getting rapid opposition from co-host Harlow, he swiftly qualified his opinion with the broad statement, “I am not sexist.”

‘I grew up as the only boy in a family of women,’ he explained, before noting that when he visits sports bars and women’s games are playing, the crowd’s nearly uniform response is, ‘I don’t want to watch this.’
