A suspect has barricaded himself and possibly others inside a burning home in a suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of Chicago.

Police and fire departments rushed to the home on Ann Marie Lane in Oak Forest, a small town some 24 miles southwest of Chicago in Cook County.

It’s unclear how many people may be inside the home.

Police were initially called to the property on a domestic disturbance call. After they arrived, the suspect set fire to the property.

The property is a three bedroom home which was last sold in 2012. A Marine Corps flag is flown outside on the porch along with a US flag.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the suspect.

Property records reveal that the home belongs to Carlos and Lupe Gomez.

Carlos, 44, was arrested in 2016 on domestic battery charges.
