Dante Goodwin, from Fresno, fractured a vertebrae after falling in a pool while on vacation in Cancún on June 16

After suffering a terrible fall in the Mexican resort city of Cancn, a man from California is now undergoing treatment in a hospital in Miami.

Dante Goodwin, a 37-year-old resident of Fresno, was visiting the popular tourist destination with his girlfriend Shay Williams on June 16 when he was injured.

Williams admitted to not knowing whether Goodwin slid or fell into the pool at the Airbnb they had rented, according to the local news outlet KMPH.

I missed the beginning of his approach to the ocean. Williams remarked, “I watched him come in.”

One of her cousins dove into the pool and flipped the unconscious Goodwin over. He was pulled from the pool and placed on the nearby ground.

Williams remarked, “He had blood in his mouth and claimed he couldn’t breathe.”

She remembers Goodwin telling her that his hands and legs were immobile.

Goodwin was transported to a neighboring hospital and then taken to another, where a medical professional determined that he had cracked vertebrae.

Williams was informed by the doctor that the fracture was “quite significant” and where it was located.

A GoFundMe campaign raised over $29,000 to pay for a medical flight.

Last Wednesday night, he was airlifted to Miami, where he is now being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Tae (Dante) Goodwin will finally receive the assistance and attention he requires and merits. On the fundraiser website, Williams said, “This is such a great dude.

“We gave him the entire world because he deserves it,” we said. Thank to everybody. As this is only Part 2 of this healing journey, kindly keep praying. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
