CrossFit fans stunned by ‘minute of silent’ exercise

A weird exercise created as a homage to the Queen that is based on her life and reign has been criticised by fitness enthusiasts as being “very insulting” and has subsequently been removed off.

The homage was posted not long after the Queen passed away by CrossFit UK, the British affiliate of the well-known fitness company that bills itself as “the world’s greatest fitness programme” and has tens of thousands of members in its global “community.”

The “one minute pause in quiet,” which some thought was in terrible taste, was one of the weirdest aspects of the WOD, or “workout of the day,” post.

Social media users and perplexed “crossfitters” voiced their confusion at the bizarre homage.

Instagram users referred to it as “unhinged crap” and “very extremely odd,” respectively.

One commenter expressed shock that the odd post ‘was not altered.

Some believed it to be “disrespectful” to the late king, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 96.

Other fitness sites reposted the article; one studio said that it will be held in honour of the Queen, while another said it would be done “out of respect.”

Several other fitness sites reposted the article; one studio said that it will be held in honour of the Queen, while another stated that it would be done “out of respect.”

Another gym promised to expand its class size so that more people could participate in their “memorial WOD.”

In a statement on Thursday, Ascension Training in Epsom stated: “Today marks a sorrowful day amongst us all. Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully.

“Tomorrow’s classes will all do a tribute workout in her honour to honour her memory and to pay our respects as only we can.

‘Class size has been somewhat raised, and we want as many of you to attend and participate as possible.’ The Queen be saved.

Although it was an imitation of the Platinum Jubilee WOD for the account, several people found the unique homage humorous.

Another joked, “Putting the RIP into ripped,” while referring to the program’s “rest in quiet” segment and declaring, “I am done.”

One sarcastic remark said: “1 minute rest in quiet. She would have preferred it.

One Instagram user called the picture “extremely insulting” and said she could not believe it was genuine.

Burning calories for da queen, another joked. She would wish to be remembered in this way.

And one person who was surprised said, “Holy s*** it’s genuine!” I assumed it was photo-manipulated.

Others agreed that the homage was appropriate, writing comments on the posts with red hearts and “rest in peace” messages, as well as several who stated they would participate in the exercise.

According to one user, the Queen, who was an avid sportswoman and continued to be active well into her old age, “would have liked” it.

The exercise regimen included 96 skips, referred to as “double unders,” to symbolise her age and even 70 leaping lunges to honour her reigning years.

Users who were perplexed by the “exercise of the day” post had differing opinions, with some arguing that it should be removed.

More intricate links included two rounds of six ring dips for the date of her coronation in 1953 and six rounds of two muscle-ups for the precise date of her accession to the throne in 1952, according to the article.

The words “rest in peace, ma’am” were put beside the regime’s information in white lettering on a black background. I appreciate your service.

You still have time to erase this, remarked one social media user who deemed it offensive.

Due to the internet criticism and misunderstanding, the tribute has subsequently been removed.

‘Back in June, the CrossFit UK team built a celebratory exercise in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee,’ CrossFit UK said in the now-deleted article.

The caption of the post provided an explanation of the well planned exercise.

The transformation of this exercise into a memorial WOD in honour of her life feels only right. Importance of numbers:

She was our Queen for a total of 70 years. Elizabeth assumed the throne and was formally crowned on two dates: 2/6 in 1952 and 6/2 in 1953.

The one-minute pause represents the year that has passed between these dates. Elizabeth was 25 years old when she became queen and 96 years old when she passed away. She was crowned in Westminster Abbey as the 39th sovereign.
