Comedian Viggo Venn emerged as the victor of Britain’s Got Talent 2023, capturing the hearts of the nation.

The 33-year-old impressed the judges and audience with his high-vis inspired routine during the grand final, securing the coveted £250,000 prize and a spot at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.

Venn’s performance included a memorable moment where he convinced judge Simon Cowell to wear a matching high-vis jacket as rose petals rained down on them, prompting the entire audience to join in the high-vis frenzy.

The crowd was ecstatic, chanting “One more time” in reference to Venn’s unforgettable first audition on the show.

The judges showered Venn with praise, with Alesha Dixon stating that he had captivated the nation and Bruno Tonioli commending his physical comedy skills, comparing him to the iconic character Mr Bean.

Simon Cowell, who often presents a tough front, admitted that he had never encountered an act like Venn before and expressed his newfound admiration.

In a lighthearted moment during the show, when asked about the abundance of high-vis jackets, Venn humorously replied that he wears them because it’s cold in Norway.

Venn faced stiff competition from other talented acts, including dancer Lilliana Clifton, 13, who secured the second-place position, and magician Cillian O’Connor, 14, who came in third.

These young performers showcased their impressive skills but fell short of claiming the title.

Throughout the week leading up to the grand final, contestants battled it out in five live semi-finals.

The top five acts, determined by audience votes, along with five acts selected by the judges, made it to the highly anticipated finale.

Among the diverse range of talents showcased were the golden buzzer act Ghetto Kids, who delivered a vibrant celebration of Africa, and schoolgirl Olivia Lynes, who charmed the audience with her rendition of “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen.

With his uproarious and unique style, Viggo Venn emerged as the well-deserved winner, leaving an indelible mark on the Britain’s Got Talent stage.
