These days, Donald Trump’s adversaries appear to be a never-ending source of gifts for him.

Police guard Trump's Florida home after FBI raid. The whole shambolic show, as a nation rolled its eyes again, couldn’t have helped Trump more politically if he scripted it himself, David Marcus writes

Trump now leads Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his likely primary rival, by a full 10 points while President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice fumbles about attempting to explain why, precisely, it chose to raid the house of a previous and potentially future president.

It just took a week.

The American leftist news media, one of Trump’s biggest enemies, went back into freakout mode that week, irrationally claiming the end is nigh, the walls are closing in, or something along those lines.

On August 8, the FBI conducted a raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in search of supposed nuclear secrets and passports, which Trump was originally accused of lying about until his detractors were forced to concede, “Oh okay, maybe the FBI did grab a few passports.”

Trump would have benefited politically more from scripting the whole shambolic spectacle if he had done so, as the country once again rolled its eyes.

The January 6th Committee, which was supposed to conclusively show that the previous president had committed serious crimes that were beyond forgiveness, has not only failed to do so but has also failed to sway public opinion in their favour even somewhat.

This is true despite the sleek TV production quality.

In fact, according to a recent Monmouth survey, 4 percent fewer people now believe Trump was directly to blame for the events.

Speaking of the Committee on the Capital Riot, the steely-eyed Rep. Liz Cheney, who was the 45th president’s fiercest political foe, seems to be losing her House seat in Wyoming’s primary on Tuesday to Trump supporter Harriet Hageman.

The incumbent Cheney is behind her opponent by almost 30 points in a brand-new Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center survey for the state’s lone House of Representatives seat.

Even though Cheney and her devoted followers believe she is the one sporting the white cowboy hat, this Western’s gunfight is not going in her favour. Donald Trump will be riding out into the distance, his prospects of winning the presidency again solidly polished.

Nobody needs to be surprised if a campaign announcement that seemed doubtful in the past materialises sooner rather than later.

Trump has often been compared to a Chinese finger trap by his adversaries. When they should merely softly push, they pull and pull and pull, harder and harder, to no effect. They had the option of allowing Trump to yell out his views about the 2020 election into a wasteland of podcasts and Truth Social postings by choosing to ignore him once he left office.

Instead, Liz Cheney and House Democrats made the decision to have hearings about it during prime time, putting Trump front and centre. And now that this mysterious raid has occurred, he has become Mar-a-martyr. Lago’s

Democrats, the media, and “principled conservatives” fail to comprehend—and have never understood—that Trump’s followers see outrageous criticism of him as outrageous criticism of them.

They see the political motivation behind the raid on Mar-a-Lago and worry—whether legitimately or not—that their own political views may get them into trouble. especially now that Democrats have made up 87,000 brand-new IRS agents.

Democrats seem to be engaging in an eight-dimensional game of chess, it may be said. They believe it harms the party and offers the inept Biden or whatever the Democrats choose to run as president in 2024 the greatest opportunity to win, therefore they want Trump to continue to be the face of the GOP.

In 2016, this was essentially the game plan. However, Democrats need to keep in mind that their summer of celebration over getting the easily defeatable Trump as a rival turned into a fall of epic defeat, throwing a lasting shadow over Hillary Clinton’s election night party in Brooklyn.

Democrats and even some Republicans had anticipated that the approaching midterm elections would cause the party to become severely polarised due to a wave of mostly successful Trump-backed congressional candidates.

It just hasn’t taken place.

The state parties have supported the candidate in virtually all of the contests. Even Trump and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who have been at odds longer than an Arby’s sandwich, have begun to show indications of a reconciliation.

Simply put, Trump is not the destructive and polarising force in the GOP that his opponents would want to see him be.

The Democrats are taking unnecessary risks. orange flames Even in Republican primaries, they have given money to candidates who are fiercely pro-MAGA and Trump. Some of these are exactly the ones they claim will rig elections and undermine democracy. It’s a risky move, particularly for a party whose president is now just slightly more popular than mosquitoes.

But one thing is certain: Donald Trump is the great winner in all of this chaos. As long as he can rage against the foes who provide him with regular fuel, he will never enter that pitch-black political night without a fight.

The former president has hinted at a future campaign, but insiders in Washington of all kinds believe he will finally rule it out. Trump is earning a lot of money outside of politics. The Republican National Committee is also paying his legal expenses, which have cost them almost $2 million so far. Financial assistance that would stop if he declared his candidacy.

And Trump is enjoying his standing as a candidate more than he ever would in a difficult new contest or as president.

The worst irony is that Democrats may be directly responsible for their own nightmare because to their never-ending witch hunts.
