Diamond Lynnette Hardaway, well known as a member of the duo Diamond and Silk, passed away on January 8 due to heart illness caused by persistent hypertension. She was 51 years old.

Hardaway, one of Trump’s most enthusiastic fans, was discovered on the kitchen floor by her sister Rochelle “Silk” Richardson, wailing, “I can’t breathe”

According to the Associated Press, no autopsy was conducted on Hardaway, whose reported cause of death sparked considerable curiosity after her sister mistakenly connected her death to a conspiracy involving anti-COVID-19 vaccination conspiracy beliefs during her funeral ceremony last week.

Trump not only attended the service, but he delivered a speech in which he made the astounding claim that he never actually knew Silk.

The former president described Hardaway’s “unexpected” death as “really bad news for Republicans” in a statement earlier this month.

Trump commented on Truth Social, “Extremely negative news for Republicans and, frankly, all Americans.” “Our beautiful Diamond of Diamond and Silk has just  away at her home in North Carolina, the state she cherished so much.”

The former president referred to Hardaway as “Magnificent Diamond” and stated her sister Silk was “with her every step of the way and at her passing.”

“There was never or nowhere a better TEAM! Diamond’s death was completely unexpected; most likely, her large and magnificent HEART simply failed. Trump continued, “Rest In Peace, our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed.”

Diamond and Silk rose to prominence during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign after making the unexpected transition from staunch Democrats to Republicans following the announcement of Trump’s White House run in 2015.

The sisters became famous in their own right, which led to their regular appearances on Fox News throughout Trump’s presidency.

The former president has been seen multiple times with the pro-Trump couple, including in the Oval Office of the White House.

In November, Hardaway’s health raised alarm after the duo’s official Twitter account requested fans to pray for her.

“Anyone who believes in the power of prayer, please pray for Diamond,” stated the tweet, though no explanation was provided.

In 2018, the couple asserted that Facebook labeled their pro-Trump videos as “unsafe.” Several months later, they received an apology from the social media platform.

They were later sacked from their positions at Fox News for pushing COVID-19 conspiracy theories.
