After visiting a residence in Cape Town, South African police officers were able to apprehend four girls and four males. According to reports, the officers went to Parklands after receiving a loud complaint.
Instead of calming down the residents, they arrested all eight of them after finding one mandrax pill on the corner of a table led to the discovery of more drugs on the premises.

police officials in Cape Town have managed to arrest eight people on Thursday this week.
According to Police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler, the Table View police officers were responding to a noise complaint in Deptford Street and were kept waiting after the occupants of the Parkland home claimed they could not find the front door key.
When they were finally allowed in, one of the cops spotted what looked like a mandrax pill on the corner of a table inside the property. After asking about the pill, one of the occupants claimed it was a “pet pill”.
“The officer knew that it resembled a mandrax tablet but was interested in the explanation. They were told that it was a tablet for one of their pets,” explains Chandler.
The officer, who was familiar with the appearance of the drug, also noticed that one of the people in the house suddenly started acting nervous.
They were then given a go-ahead to search the property and 8 849 mandrax tablets, ecstasy in tablet or crushed form, and more than R72 000 in cash were found and confiscated.
One of the occupants tried to make a run for it but was caught and brought back to the scene.
Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut has estimated that the value of the drug bust is R1.3 million. Meanwhile, Station Commander Colonel Lindiwe Dyantyi commended the officers for making the big bust.
