Canadian Government Delegation Arrives in Nigeria for Tinubu’s Presidential Inauguration

The Canadian government delegation has arrived in Nigeria to attend the inauguration ceremony of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the President of Nigeria.

The announcement was made by the Canadian High Commission through their official Twitter handle, @CanadaInNigeria, on Sunday evening.

Leading the delegation is the Canadian Minister for Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion, Ahmed Hussein.

During his visit, Minister Hussein will engage with representatives from civil society, youth groups, and international partners to discuss Nigeria’s efforts in promoting inclusion and respect for diversity.

The Canadian High Commission expressed their delight in welcoming Minister Hussen and emphasized the strong bilateral ties between Canada and Nigeria.

Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Highlights Strong Relationship with Nigeria

Prior to the delegation’s arrival, the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, announced the visit of Minister Ahmed Hussen to Nigeria from May 27 to 29, 2023.
