Senator Scott Wiener, a Democrat, introduced the bill earlier this year.

Yesterday, the California Assembly passed a bill that will be sent to the state senate.

It would prevent the arrest or extradition of those seeking medical care in the state.

Wiener stated that the situation should not lead to the criminalization of parents and children.

California will become a “refuge state for transgender children and their parents” with the passage of a bill to “stand with under attack LGBTQ children and their families.”

Earlier this year, Democratic Senator Scott Wiener, who represents San Francisco and portions of San Mateo County, presented the bill.

Weiner issued the following statement: ‘California must stand with LGBTQ youth and their families, especially while they are under attack across the nation.

Parents should never be removed from their children or punished for allowing them to be themselves.

The bill was passed by the California Assembly yesterday and will now be considered by the state senate.

It is intended to prevent the arrest or extradition of a Californian accused of breaching a statute in another state that criminalizes gender-affirming services.

Those who go to California for gender-related care are also exempt from complying with an out-of-state subpoena.

In addition, a state agency could not remove a child from a parent or guardian for breaching the gender care legislation of another state.

It follows a request from Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate any reported instances of’so-called sex reassignment treatments.

These were described as “constituting child abuse” in accordance with Texas’s current statutes.

According to Fox News, Abbott’s decree said that it is already “illegal” to subject Texas children to gender change operations.

These procedures include gender reassignment, mastectomies, and the removal of healthy body parts.

Abbott highlighted a decision by the Texas Attorney General from the previous year. A judge temporarily halted his order last month.

Greg Burt, director of Capitol Engagement for the conservative California Family Council, referred to it as a “attack on parental rights.”

In a statement released last month, he stated that the measure “declares war” on American parents who do not want their children sterilised due to gender dysphoria.

He said that in the majority of cases, this problem cures itself once a child enters adulthood.

According to Wiener, 19 other states have introduced similar proposals and measures to protect transgender children and make them refuges.

Other conservative states, such as Florida and Alabama, have forbidden the health care that California seeks to preserve through legislation.

Previously, Texas Governor Greg Abbott demanded that the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services investigate any reported instances of so-called sex reassignment treatments.
