In a devastating incident that has shocked many, British businessman David Thomas Blyth shot and killed his wife, TV presenter Victoria Vera Blyth, before taking his own life.
The tragic murder-suicide took place in their home in Ankara, Turkey, on Tuesday, June 11.
The couple, who left behind three young children, had reportedly been arguing over text messages on Victoria’s phone before the fatal event unfolded.

David Thomas Blyth, an oil tycoon and owner of the international firm ASG Inspection, and Victoria Vera Blyth, a well-known TV presenter and comedian, were found dead in their Ankara residence.
Local authorities reported that the argument escalated, leading David to fatally shoot Victoria and then himself. No one else was harmed during the incident.
Background of the Couple
The Blyths married in 2014 and initially lived in Prague, Czech Republic, before relocating to Turkey due to David’s business commitments in the Middle East.
Victoria, originally from South Africa, moved to the Czech Republic as a young woman with her family.
She studied music at university and gained fame after releasing her debut album in 2004.
In addition to her TV career, Victoria was deeply involved in charity work, founding DazSpor, an organization that hosts running events across Turkey, and working with the Czech charity Velvet Smile, which supports families of sick and disabled children and victims of domestic abuse.

The couple’s three children, aged four, ten, and fourteen, have been placed in the care of Victoria’s family, who traveled to Turkey following the tragedy.
