Beyoncé Announces the Release of Her New Single ‘Break My Soul’

Beyoncé has announced the release of track six, “Break My Soul,” off her upcoming seventh studio album, “Renaissance,” at midnight ET / 9 p.m.

Queen Bee announced the single’s debut in an unorthodox method, updating the bios on each of her social media channels to do so.

The singer only recently announced the anticipated release date for “Renaissance,” thus the Tuesday release comes as a surprise to many.

Beyoncé revealed the release of her long-awaited seventh studio album “Renaissance,” her first since 2016’s “Lemonade,” on Thursday, after teasing the internet with days of cryptic hints.

After deleting many social profile photographs in early June, Beyoncé prompted concern among music and social media fans.

Overnight, Tidal, a streaming service once owned by Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z, confirmed the album’s release date on Twitter, with competitor companies Spotify and Apple Music tweeting the same information minutes afterwards.

The news was followed by the announcement of a cover shoot with British Vogue, in which Queen B is shown as a retro-futuristic glam club kid. On June 21, the July 2022 issue will be available on newsstands.

“Soaring vocals and fierce beats combine and in a split second I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth,” wrote Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief of British Vogue who spent time at Beyonce’s Los Angeles home for the story, of the star’s new music. “I want to get up and start throwing moves. It’s music I love to my core.”

“Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul.”
