Customers of Bank of America vented their fury on social media, complaining that strange transactions made through the digital payment app Zelle left them with negative balances.

Twitter users shared screenshots of alerts from Bank of America informing them that their account balances were negative. Others claimed they attempted to contact the bank’s customer service division but received no response.

Jeepeto Cuarenton, a bank client, tweeted a message informing people that his account had a negative balance of $2,060.44.

He tweeted, “WHAT THE HECK?” “I urgently need my money back!”

“I have no money for gas!” at home alone. Your customer service number is unreachable. WTF IS WRONG? The incensed client demanded to know.

The Post was informed by a source with direct knowledge of the matter that there are delays in the bank’s processing of transactions involving accounts connected to Zelle.

“Zelle transactions made between Jan. 14 and Jan. 17 may be delayed in occurring and posting to accounts as requested,” a bank official warned The Post in a statement.

How will BankofAmerica withdraw the deposits and leave all the charges? What if I required immediate access to that? When will I receive my money back?

I’ll be cancelling my Bank of America accounts in 2023 because, well, how tf? Do I have hundreds of dollars missing? Wait until they repair it, then I’m withdrawing all of my funds and looking for a new bank.

The bank promised that transfers would be finished and would show up as quickly as feasible in [clients’] account activity and balances.

Customers were affected by the delay; one of them wrote, “I am on the verge of collapsing, where is my money?”

“Hey @BankofAmerica my account is missing money, specifically the Zelle transactions I have proof of and now my account is overdrawn,” complained another dissatisfied client. Strangely, my debit card is not set up to overdraw or pay for non-auto pay transactions. Where is my cash?

On the downtime tracking website Down Detector, a user posted: “I woke up this morning to a negative balance. There is no means to get in touch with customer service.

“This issue must be resolved right away so that I can access my funds!”
