Unplayable reports that once Austin Muwowo’s loan agreement with Swallows FC expired, Pirates opted not to renew his contract.
After two disappointing seasons with the club, Muwowo was deemed surplus to needs by Pirates, who moved him out on loan at the beginning of the previous campaign.
The three-year contract with Pirates for the Zambian winger was about to expire, and his loan to Swallows obviously marked the end of his career.
Muwowo follows other midfielders who were also considered unnecessary for the upcoming season, such as Nkanyiso Zungu and Linda Mntambo, out the exit door.
The 25-year-old left-footer only made nine appearances for Pirates last season and scored no goals, while he only made six appearances for Swallows.
