Andy Cohen explains why he said Snooki would never join ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’: I take things too far

If you’re expecting that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, a Bravo superfan, will join the cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” don’t hold your breath.

Andy Cohen stated on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio show “Andy Cohen Live” why we will most likely never see the queen of “Jersey Shore” holding a diamond, settling their apparent “feud.”

The pair’s “public war” began a year ago when Cohen stated that he would not cast Snooki on “RHONJ.”

She stated, “You were just a little sarcastic, so I had to respond.”

“I answered, ‘I don’t see it.’ Right. I was like, ‘I don’t see it at all. Ever,’” Cohen said of Snooki joining the franchise in the future. “Here’s why I said it: I see you as one of the faces of MTV and ‘Jersey Shore’.”

“It’s the equivalent of putting Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon,” he continued. “It’s too dissimilar. You understand what I mean?

The reality TV actress stated that she was “not angry” with Cohen’s statement, but added that his tone irritated her.

She continued, “I just didn’t like your little ‘Nah, I’m good’,” to which Cohen replied, “That’s where I go too far.”

Cohen said that the two were “no longer at war” since the dispute was resolved.

Snooki has previously told Page Six that she cannot “hang” with any of the “Housewives” because she “hates drama.”

“I’m terrified because some of those girls are into it,” she told us in an exclusive interview. “Despite being on a reality show, I detest drama. I enjoy positivism and having a nice time before returning home. I simply believe that would be insane.”

In 2009, Polizzi made her reality television debut with the original “Jersey Shore.”

In September 2020, rumors circulated that Bravo had scouted the MTV personality as a potential New Jersey “Real Housewife.”

However, Snooki swiftly dispelled these reports, writing on Instagram, “I don’t know where this came from, but I have not been invited to become a housewife. Sowwyyyyy.”
