Despite the amount of damning evidence that her husband allegedly murdered and dismembered her, Ana Walshe’s mother has maintained faith that the Massachusetts mother will be discovered alive.

“I believe that she recently left somewhere in order to escape; perhaps she was tired of everything… My only guess is that. Milanka Ljubicic told NBC News from her home in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, “I still do not know the truth about what transpired.”

“I only hope she is still alive. everywhere except living Thursday, the 69-year-old woman continued, “This is my only hope.”

Brian Walshe, 47, who is charged with murder in connection with his wife’s disappearance, allegedly performed multiple frightening searches on his young son’s iPad in the days before and after he reported that his wife vanished from their Cohasset home on January 1st.

This week, prosecutors disclosed that among his macabre searches were “how to stop a body from decomposing,” “how long before a body starts to smell,” “hacksaw best tool to dismember,” and “can you identify a body with broken teeth?”

He apparently also searched for “how long for a missing person to inherit”

Ljubicic acknowledged being aware of the alarming searches.

Yes, I have seen it, and it did disturb me, but I simply do not believe it. Since Brian was never violent, he never felt anger or rage, God forbid. I really cannot believe it,” she stated to NBC News.

“I believe that she recently left somewhere in order to escape; perhaps she was tired of everything… “I only have an assumption,” Ljubicic remarked of Ana.

Ljubicic recently told Fox News Digital that her daughter had pleaded with her to visit a week prior to her disappearance on New Year’s Day, when Brian said she had left their house for a “work emergency.”

Ana, age 39, was reported missing on January 4 by her employer in Washington, DC, the luxury real estate firm Tishman Speyer.

“She just said, ‘Please, Mama. Come tomorrow,’” Ljubicic told Fox News Digital, “which indicates that there must have been problems.”

In an interview with NBC News, she stated that Ana “never grumbled about her husband, ever,” adding, “I always had a positive opinion of him. He was constantly humorous and in a good mood. He was the primary cook in the house and always fed us.

Ljubicic stated that Brian “absolutely adored Ana for who she is, and frequently expressed how much he missed her while she was out of the office.”

“From what I know, everything was fine between them,” she added.

Ljubicic also told NBC News that she was ignorant of Ana’s 2014 allegation that her husband had threatened to murder her.

According to Boston 25 News, because Ana did not assist with DC Metro police, Brian was never charged and the case was closed.

Regarding the claimed threat, Ljubicic told NBC News, “I didn’t know at the time, but I’ve since seen it in the media.” “They subsequently got married and had children…. I have no idea what to say. I have no idea whatsoever about it.”

Ljubicic stated that her daughter despised being separated from the couple’s three young sons while commuting to her job in Washington, D.C., but they were unable to relocate due to Brian’s house confinement for a wire fraud case.

“She was bothered by the fact that they had to stay because they had better living conditions in Washington, DC, and she was unable to survive without her children for so long,” she told the site.

“They hoped that the legal proceedings surrounding Brian would only last a few months so that they could be together. But it dragged on for approximately a year,” Ljubicic claimed, adding that she “was not at all concerned” for Ana’s safety or her relationship with Brian.

The distraught mother reported that Ana contacted her on New Year’s Eve, but she was asleep and did not answer.

“[The following day] I sent her a text wishing her a Happy New Year, but she did not respond,” Ljubicic told the site. Even then, I did not believe something negative had occurred; I was simply not thinking in that direction.
