An officer slammed the suspects’ car to halt a Georgia police chase

A recent police pursuit in Georgia came to an end when the responding officer rammed into one side of the defendants’ vehicle, forcing the four shoplifting suspects to deviate off a busy roadway.

After the suspects eluded a first police stop on Saturday, a pursuit took place close to Atlanta.

Although the Forsyth County Sheriff identified him as a deputy attached to the department’s crime reduction section, the cop who started the pursuit has not been publicly recognised.

The sheriff’s office said the deputy was sent after authorities in the nearby Dawson County issued a “be on the lookout” alert for a silver Ford Focus that was “missing a front bumper and had a paper tag with four females inside,” according to a statement posted online this week alongside the video footage.

The tenants were charged with recently shoplifting from a number of nearby outlet shops.

The officer indicated for the car engaged in last weekend’s pursuit to stop because it matched Dawson County’s description and the people inside seemed to be “driving recklessly,” according to the sheriff’s statement.

Both cars then stopped on the side of the road.

The conversation was captured on the deputy’s dash camera, which also showed the vehicle leaving after he issued the order for the driver and occupants to get out.

The deputy is then shown on camera momentarily following the automobile before putting the front of his car in close proximity to the car’s flashing left tail light and smashing into the bumper.

The automobile instantly began to spin in a semi-circle clockwise until it slipped over the side of the road and came to a halt facing backward in the grassy barrier area.
