Linda Sinrod, a former college figure skater, currently plays in a women’s ice hockey league in Washington, DC. Sinrod, who has always been the oldest player on her team, was curious about the oldest female hockey player in the world and discovered the record while in her 80s.

Sinrod helped found the first women’s ice hockey team in the Washington, DC area when she was in her late 30s. She played on the team for 10 years until she decided to retire. However, she returned to the sport at age 67 and played on another team until she turned 75.

Even though she was asked to leave the team, she did not give up on hockey. Sinrod now plays in the women’s league and trains twice a week with weight training and three times a week with biking, except when she is playing ice hockey.

Sinrod’s age has slowed her down, making it easier for opposing players to catch up to her and steal the puck, but it has not stopped her from pursuing her passion for the puck. She plans to continue playing for as long as she can.
