A 16-year-old football player who vanished and prompted a two-day search in Washington is located, but one day later is charged with MURDER after a 51-year-old man was shot to death.

Comes after a 51-year-old man was found deceased at home on Thursday Davies went missing on the way to football practice on Wednesday

Thursday night, he was discovered by officers on Tilley Road Southwest.

He is being jailed with another 16-year-old at a juvenile correctional center.

A young football player who vanished and prompted a two-day search in Washington was located, but was charged with murder a day later after a 51-year-old was shot to death.

After the death of the 51-year-old, Gabriel Michael Davies, 16, of Olympia, and another man of the same age were charged with second-degree murder, burglary, and illegal possession of a firearm.

The unidentified 51-year-old man was located at his house in Orting on Thursday, four days after he failed to go to work and officers conducted a welfare check.

The teens are being held at the Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center following their arrest at 8 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, while his route to football practice from Olympia, Davies went AWOL.

According to the Chronicle, witnesses had observed him entering Millersylvania State Park before to his discovery.

On Thursday night at approximately 10 p.m., he was discovered on Tilley Road Southwest by authorities who had previously discovered his unoccupied car under “strange circumstances,” with blood inside and his cell phone smashed on the floor.

After the death of the 51-year-old, Olympia resident Gabriel Michael Davies, 16, was charged with second-degree murder, burglary, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Sgt. Darren Moss, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department, stated that Davies and the victim were acquainted.

On Saturday, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office issued charges against Davies and the other 16-year-old.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has not disclosed any additional information concerning the homicide.

They have stated, however, that there was “probable cause” to arrest both teens.

Officers are keeping the juveniles at the aforementioned Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center after arresting them around 8 p.m. on Friday.
