Before a match, a young cricket player discovered a furry surprise in his equipment bag.

Gerbus, Tyler’s beloved hamster, was also present for the match, having stowed away in his luggage.

Gerbus, a pet he’s had for more than three months, sneaked inside his backpack as he prepared to leave while cleaning the animal’s cage.

Tyler said, “On the morning of the cricket match, I had to wake up very early to clean up his cage before I left.”

In all honesty, she was very spoiled and adored the attention.

More than 7,000 people have liked a tweet about the event, which Tyler describes as “quite wild.”

I had no idea how much attention the tweet received until Sunday. At the time, I was playing FIFA with my friends, and my friend Fletcher checked Twitter and saw that it had 5,000 likes,’ he added.

It was rather bizarre.
